Happy Birthday Alex!

Alex is two! We had a very busy last couple of weeks! Lots of fun with friends and family coming to visit and a couple of little birthday parties for Mr. Alex. By the time today rolled around he was very aware of what "Happy Birthday" meant. CAKE and PRESENTS! SCORE! I'll post some pictures soon of the actual birthday.

He's doing a lot more talking these days. Some things only we can understand, but a lot of it is actual English! Our favorite is how when he comes down in the morning (Kevin usually goes to get him when it's ok for him to get up) he cuddles with us for a few minutes and then gets down off of the bed, comes around to my side of the bed and says, "All-nuah". Think Cajun Man. Translation...he wants to eat. For a while we were thinking the direct translation was "All done", meaning that he wanted to be "All Done" with breakfast. This is actually how Harrison said "All done" when he was first talking. Now he clearly says, "All Done" when he's finished, so now we don't have a clue as to the direct translation. It sure is cute, though.

He's still in love with Doh-Doh who never leaves his side and he just got some fun new groundhog clothes for his birthday from Aunt Leslie. He's also adopted "my puppy" and "my puppy". These are two stuffed dogs that also go to bed with him (thanks Aunt Shelly!). Tonight he even had his new truck in bed with him from Lulu and Pops. Is this a little reminiscent of Harrison?

He is absolutely in LOVE with his Daddy. Evenings are a little crazy here with Harrison, Alex and Kevin rough-housing. Lots of fun, though.

Harrison is thrilled to have Spring Break this week. He is a homebody. Show and Tell is usually the highlight of the week for him. This week he had to bring two things that rhyme. That is not easy to do, by the way. Especially when he says, "I need to find something that rhymes with R2D2." Could you be MORE specific, Harrison? What about cat and bat??? No, thanks! We came up with Mace Windu! I'm not a fan of parent's doing the homework for their kids, but the kid was trying to tell me that R2D2 and R2D4 rhymed! He needed a little help.

Ian is doing great! He's 5 1/2 months old and weighs a little more than 18 pounds! He's so laid back and laughs so much. Alex and Harrison are his biggest entertainers by far. He's eating a little cereal at dinner time and has had pears, applesauce, banana and peas. The boy loves to eat. I should probably add breakfast, but it's just one more thing for me to do in the morning, so we're going to hold off for a little bit longer. He's trying really hard to sit up, but still folds in half a bit. He can roll both ways now, but doesn't do it very often. He spits at us all the time and the boys think he's telling baby jokes.

The biggest new craze at our house is the addition of Dance Dance Revolution. Aunt Leslie and I got a bit addicted, and I've added it to my workout repertoire. I have pictures, but they are not to be seen by the public. Instead I will share the pictures of Harrison and Alex doing the dancing!
I'll leave you with some pictures!
